UCRC Medals at Head of the Hooch 2022


Our Fall regatta season came to a close at the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, TN. This prestigious regatta presented us with the fiercest competition yet and the opportunity to see how we stacked up against boats from clubs all across the country. UCRC Featured in Cincinnati Magazine


A few months ago, local Cincinnati photographer Chris Von Holle joined the University of Cincinnati Rowing Club (UCRC) at our morning practice. UCRC Medals at Speakmon Regatta 2022


This past weekend, the University of Cincinnati Rowing Club (UCRC) attended the Jack Speakmon Memorial Regatta in Columbus, Ohio. The weather gods blessed us with great racing weather for the day (a pleasant change compared to our first Fall regatta). A Tradition of Excellence


In the fall of 1981 eager students with the help of Cincinnati area rowers William Engeman and Harry H. Graves founded the University of Cincinnati Rowing Team. Initially the team was an entity within the Cincinnati Rowing Foundation, an umbrella organization that encompassed Cincinnati Rowing Club, Outdoor Co-operative (Cincinnati Junior RC) and Xavier University and the Cincinnati Training Center. Founding members Tom Ritter, Steven Baker and Tom Stork took on the great task of developing the structure for both men’s and women’s rowing representing the university, although they commuted to Lake Harsha to train the team had early success at the Dad Vail regatta where medals were earned in the first few years.
