Head of the Hooch

This past weekend, UC traveled to Chattanooga, Tennessee to compete at Head of the Hooch. The Men's Novice 8+ placed 9th with a time of 17:34.54. The Varsity Women's 8+ received 21st place, while  the Women's Novice 8+ placed 18th. In the Men's Championship 8+, the varsity crew placed 11th with a time of 16:56.52. The Men's Novice 4+ placed 48th place barring a time of 20:23.62. Meanwhile, in the women's 4+ race the varsity placed 18th with a time of 20:16.80. In the men's championship 4+, the varsity placed 16th. A special congratulations goes out to all of the alumni that competed at the Hooch, including Marie Hopkins and Rachel Blinka placing 9th in the Women's Championship 2. Current varsity rowers, Tristan Hite and Nick Samson, competed on Sunday in the Men's Open 2 and received 10th place.  UC Crew is happy to be home, but they still have work to do. The club invites Vanderbilt to a duel at the marina on Saturday, November 11th and ends the season with Captain's Cup on Saturday, November 18th.
