Redhawk Sprints

2018 RedHawk Sprints, Oxford: Congrats to our rowers on their success at the first regatta of the spring season. We are very proud of our crews after having only a few practices together on the water. The following lists the results of the races: The Women’s Varsity crew sent out two fours. The A boat, consisting of rowers Megan, Emily, Sarah, and Aisling finished first with a final 2k time of 7:52.50 dropping 5 seconds off their first time of 7:57.50. The Varsity B four finished 3rd pulling times of 8:57.20 and 8:37.0. Our Women’s Varsity eight finished fourth after making it to the final. They finished with times of 7:52.30 and 7:53.80. Our Men’s Varsity four advanced to their final through 3 heats after an initial 2k time of 6:57.20. The finished 2nd ahead of Dayton and Case Western in their final with a time of 7:06.50. The Men’s Varsity eight initially rowed a 6:35.30 then took third ahead of Dayton with a time of 6:52.80 in their final.  

                                                

  Women’s Novice four took second place after rowing 2k times of 8:15:80 and 8:46:50 to beat OSU and Cleveland State. The Men’s Novice eight beat out Miami for 2nd place in their division with a final time of 6:59.40. Lastly, the MC8 managed to finish 2nd of seven teams after rowing a 2k of 7:00.50.
