Support Our TeamCoachesKeith Young - Director of Rowing / Head Coach / Varsity Men / Varsity Women In the summer of 2009 Keith became the seventh head coach in the history of the University of Cincinnati crew. Keith is a US Rowing level II coach who brings eight years of coaching experience to the Bearcat rowing program. A University of Central Florida alum, he spent his entire coaching career in the Sunshine state before making the move north. His path included stints at Winter Park H.S., the Orlando Area Rowing Society, Edgewater H.S. and William R. Boone H.S. where he coached many medal-winning boats and state championship boats. He also was the head coach at the Orlando Rowing Club for a women’s eight that won the U.S. Masters National Championship. As a rower Keith first competed for the UCF men’s crew and additionally rowed for Vesper Boat Club in Philadelphia for two years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary social science education. He has four children and married for 15 years to his wife Misty. Erica Roberts - Assistant Coach / Novice Women Erica Roberts rowed for the University of Dayton 1997-2001. While rowing as a Dayton Flyer her Light Weight Eight earned a national ranking of 10th and finished 9th in the Nation at the IRA. She has claimed first place finishes as a collegiate and master's rower at Head of the Ohio, Speakmon, Head of the Tennessee, Atlantic 10 Conference Championship, Midwest Masters Championships, the Grand Regatta, and the Five Rivers Fall Regatta (Charlie Doyle) amongst others. Erica served as the Novice Coach at UD from 2001-2002 before getting married and relocating to Clarksville, TN. She now lives in a Cincinnati suburb with her two children and husband. Geoff Dwyer - Assistant Coach Coach Geoff rowed competitively for 4 years at George Mason University in Virginia. During his time there he served as on the team board as President and Vice President. He also won the teams esteemed ‘Hammer’ award for demonstrating significant speed on the erg (indoor rowing machine). Geoff has two years of high school coaching experience at Oakton High School in Virginia. Geoff still competes occasionally and is an avid indoor rower. |
