Director of Rowing

Rolf Linder was the first coach of the team when it was formed in the 1980’s. After a long career in business Rolf has made his way back to a leadership role in the team as Director of UC Rowing and coach for both Men’s Varsity and Women’s Varsity. In the Spring of 2015, Rolf coached the womens V4 and the womens JV4 to a national championship in Gainsville, GA. Marc earned a Biological Science degree at Barcelona University (UB), a PhD in Neuroscience from Barcelona Autonomous University (UAB), Post-Doc at University College of London (UCL), Post-Doc at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital (CCHMC) and is currently employed at CCHMC as a Research Associate.

Men's Varsity Head Coach

Brian Pack is in his second year as the Men’s Varsity Head Coach. Brian came to UC Rowing as an athlete for the 2014 fall season as he began working towards a PhD in Criminal Justice in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services at the University of Cincinnati. Novice Women's Head Coach

Maria Ciminelli is a native of Buffalo, NY where she began her rowing career at the West Side Rowing Club. She later rowed for Nardin Academy, and then went on to row at Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she received degrees in Studio Art and Elementary Education. During her graduate studies in education, she took a break from competitive sweep rowing to focus on sculling and development in small boats. Novice Men's Head Coach

Andrew was born and raised in Virginia about 30 minutes south of Washington, DC. Growing up, he participated in a variety of sports ranging from basketball to baseball to football before settling in on rowing his freshman year of high school. 10 years later and his passion for rowing has shifted from participant to teacher. He loves the fact that he has the opportunity to impact so many people's lives and introduce them to the sport that he loves.
