Another Race Weekend in the Books

The Bearcats traveled to Oxford, OH this past weekend to compete in the Redhawk sprints. The conditions were amazing and so was the racing. Of the 6 entries that UC fielded, all finished in the top 3 with many of the 1st place finishes being by open water. The teams next race will be MACRA in Grand Rapids, MI to kick off our month of championship racing. WV4+ - 1st MV8+ - 1st & 3rd MV4+ - 2nd MN4+ - 2nd MC8+ - 1st Thank you to the Miami University Rowing Club for hosting!

The team spent the last week in Clemson, SC brushing off the cobwebs and learning again why it is we love the sport of rowing. The athletes were able to put away all the stresses at home and focus on rowing, eating and sleeping. Now that we have had our fun we are back in Cincinnati and putting together the final touches for our first race this weekend. This season promises tough racing but everyone has showed that they are up to the challenge.

School is almost back in session, which means the fall season is upon us! UC Rowing will be holding events to recruit novices onto our team for the 2018-2019 year. Cincinnati, OH -- Head Coach/Director of the University of Cincinnati (UC) Rowing Team Rolf Linder announced today the appointment of Peter Rosberg as the next Head Coach of the club. In August, Rosberg will commence his duties which will include being Head Novices Coach for the club, with further responsibilities coming at a later date.
