Recruiting Information
University of Cincinnati Rowing holds recruiting events throughout the year. Beginning at Welcome Weekend, prospective athletes will have the opportunity to tour the facilities and meet coaches and team members at the following events: Open Marina/Tanks Tours, Open Meetings held on campus in TUC, Club Sports on the Green, and Boats on Sigma Sigma & McMicken Commons.
Tours
A bus scheduled by UC Rowing will pick up students on campus and drive to the Marina, about 15 minutes from campus. Orientation will be led by freshmen coaches, who will bring students up to speed on the sport of rowing. The event will also tour our winter indoor training facilities and its rowing tanks and ergs. Students will have the opportunity to win UC Rowing gear and enjoy free food as the event concludes.
Meetings
These will be informational meetings held by the Varsity athletes, where students can ask questions and learn more about the sport and UC Rowing.
Note: Please attend an Informational Meeting or contact the novice coach before attending the Learn to Row Program.
Schedule
- Club sports on the green – 8/19 – Sheakley lawn – 12pm-2pm
- Meet the team and information session – 8/24 – TUC 400A – 7pm-8pm
